Declaration of my faith Part 1

On behalf of your brother Octave, called to be a prisoner of Christ by the will of God, may grace and peace be given to you by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Introduction IMG_6706_pp photo

The human being is called to be hot or cold, because the lukewarm does not exist in the spiritual world, there are only two masters Jesus Christ and Satan the Devil, the medium does not exist in the spiritual world, and one does not never find a master in the environment, there are several names of gods on the earth, because god name is not specified, so what is the name of your god for me to know.

I believe that God is unique, it is Jesus Christ.

<Listen, Israel! Jehovah our God is the only LORD. (Deuteronomy 6.4).

<Nevertheless for us there is only one God, the Father, from whom all things come and for whom we are, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things and by whom we are. (1corintiens 8.6).

<Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus said to him, « I have been with you so long, and you have not known me, Philip! He who has seen me has seen the Father; How do you say, « Show us the Father? » (John 14: 8-9).

<I and the Father are one (John 10:30).

<I came out of the Father, and I came into the world; now I leave the world, and go to the Father (John 16:28).

<In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. She was in the beginning with God. All things were done by her, and nothing that was done was done without her. In her was life, and life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not welcome it (John 1: 1-5).

<And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; and we have seen his glory, a glory as the glory of the only begotten Son from the Father (John 1:14).

<And you, Lord, who in the beginning made the earth, and the heaven is the work of your hands (Hebrews 1:10).

<Indeed, it is in him that all was created in heaven and on earth, the visble and the invisible, thrones, sovereignties, dominations, authority. everything was created by him and everything in him remains (Colossians 1: 16-17).

<Abraham, your father, rejoiced that he would see my day: he saw it, and rejoiced. The Jews said to him, « You are not yet fifty years old, and you have seen Abraham! Jesus saith unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am (John 8: 56-58).

<This is why I told you that you will die in your sins. Indeed, if you do not believe me, I am, « you will die in your sins. » (John 8:24)

<For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, Jesus Christ man (1Timothy 2: 5).

<When living beings give glory and honor and thanksgiving to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders bow down to him who sits on the throne and worship the one who sits on the throne who live for ever and ever, and cast off their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for you have created all things, and it is by your will that they exist and have been created (Apacalypse 4: 9-11).

<Contrary, we proclaim the wisdom of the mystery of God, wisdom kept hidden, planned by him from before the centuries, to give us glory. None of those who dominate this world knew it, for if they had known it, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory (1 Cor 2: 7-8).

– For the rest, my brothers and sisters in Christ, be in joy, seeking perfection in faith in Jesus Christ.

Live in peace, in love and in full agreement with Jesus Christ.

Greet the saints and my readers.

May the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen!

Can the Church of Christ observe annually the celebration of Passover?

On behalf of your brother Octave, called to be a prisoner of Christ by the will of God, may grace and peace be given to you by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Introduction IMG_6706_pp photo

Solemnly to praise Jesus Christ, to celebrate and proclaim his name, his strength, his love, his victory, his greatness, his reign, his glory, is to honor the sacrifice of Jesus Christ made on the cross of Golgotha for him who will believe in him. .

Thanksgiving with gratitude, to Jesus Christ even seeing how to say thank you was written in the law of Moses as a perpetual ordinance to put it into practice.

Yes in the Old Testament the Jews celebrated their liberation from Egypt.

<These are the feasts of the Lord, the holy convocations, which you will publish in their appointed times.

The first month, the fourteenth day of the month, between the two evenings, will be the Passover of the Lord.

And on the fifteenth day of this month shall be the feast of unleavened bread in honor of the LORD; you will eat unleavened bread for seven days (Leviticus 23: 4-6).

<On the fourteenth day of the first month, you will have Passover. The party will last seven days; we will eat unleavened bread. The prince will offer that day, for himself and for all the people of the land, a bull for a sin offering. During the seven days of the feast he shall offer a burnt offering to the LORD seven bulls and seven rams without blemish, every seven days, and one goat for a sin offering every day (Ezekiel 45: 21-24).

Yes, in the New Testament, there were Easter celebrations.

<After seizing him and throwing him into prison, he put him under the care of four squads of four soldiers each, with the intention of bringing him before the people after the Passover (Acts 12: 4).

Passover is the Jewish holiday that Jesus Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper from now on. The newly born again commemorates the death of Christ who offered Himself as our Passover lamb for our sins.

<The first day of the unleavened bread, where the Passover was immolated, the disciples of Jesus said to him, Where do you want us to prepare the Passover? And he sent two of his disciples, and said to them, Go to the city; you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water, follow him. Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, The master said, Where is the place where I will eat the passover with my disciples? (Mark 14: 12-16).

Christ instituting the memorial meal of his death and resurrection, specifying how will be commemorated his death by the newborn who are his church

<For I have received from the Lord what I taught you; it is because the Lord Jesus, on the night he was delivered, took bread, and, having given thanks, broke it, and said, « This is my body, which is broken for you; do this in memory of me.

Likewise, after supping, he took the cup and said, « This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this in memory of me whenever you drink it.

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you announce the Lord’s death until He comes (1 Corinthians 11: 23-26).

Any observation of an annual holiday is based on the human tradition according to the gospel Christ.

<Jesus answered them, « You hypocrites, Isaiah prophesied well over you, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

In vain do they honor Me, giving precepts which are commandments of men.

You give up the command of God, and you observe the tradition of men.

He says to them again, « You destroy the commandment of God very well, to keep your tradition. » (Mark 7.6 – 9)

The gospel of Christ is against every annual observation of the death and resurrection of Christ

<Formerly, not knowing God, you served gods who are not of their nature; but now that you have known God, or rather that you have been known to God, how do you return to those feeble and poor rudiments, to whom you again want to enslave yourself? You observe the days, the months, the times and the years!

I am afraid that I have worked needlessly for you (Galatians 4.8 – 11)

<Let no one judge you about eating or drinking, or about a feast, a new moon, or sabbaths: it was the shadow of things to come, but the body is in Christ .

Let no man, under the appearance of humility and worship of angels, rob you of the price of the race at his pleasure, while he abandons himself to his visions and is swollen by a vain pride in his carnal thoughts, without attaching himself to the chief, whose whole body, assisted and firmly assembled by knuckles and bonds, draws the increase which God gives.

If you died with Christ at the rudiments of the world, why, as if you lived in the world, do you impose these precepts: Do not take! do not taste! do not touch! precepts which all become pernicious by abuse, and which are founded only on the ordinances and doctrines of men? They have, indeed, an appearance of wisdom, in that they indicate a willful worship, humility, and contempt for the body, but they have no merit and contribute to the satisfaction of the flesh. (Colossians 2.16 – 23).

So we should give thanks to Christ every day through thanksgiving

<Treat yourself by psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and celebrating with all your heart the praises of the Lord, give thanks to God the Father for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you submitting to one another in the fear of Christ (Ephesians 5:19 – 21)

– For the rest, my brothers and sisters in Christ, be in joy, seeking perfection in faith in Jesus Christ.

Live in peace, in love and in full agreement with Jesus Christ.

Greet all saints and all my readers.

May the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen!

Circumcision according to the Bible is the new birth

On behalf of your brother Octavian, called to be a prisoner of Christ by the will of God, may grace and peace be given to you by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Introduction. IMG_6706_pp photo

The advice of Jesus Christ given to man about what to do about circumcision is indeed enlightening and exposing in the Bible.

Jesus Christ recommends holiness to human beings because without sanctification no one will see our King of Kings, God of Gods and Lord of Lords Jesus Christ.

Born of Jesus Christ

For the circumcised are we who render to God our worship by the Spirit of God, who glorify us in Jesus Christ, and who do not put our trust in the flesh.

Me too, however, I would have subject to put my trust in the flesh. If any one else thinks he can confide in the flesh, I can do much more, circumcised on the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew born of Hebrews; as to the law, Pharisee; as to zeal, persecutor of the Church; irreproachable, with regard to the justice of the law.

But those things that were for me gains, I looked at them as a loss, because of Christ.

And I look upon all things as a loss, because of the excellence of the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord, for whom I have forsaken all things, and look upon them as mud, to win Christ, and to be found in him, not with my righteousness, which comes from the law, but with that which is obtained by faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God by faith, In order to know Christ, and the power of his resurrection, and the communion of his sufferings, by becoming conformed to him in his death, to come, if I may, to the resurrection from the dead (Philippians 3.3 – 11)

The physical Jew is the people of Israel, but the spiritual Jew is the one who is born again by the gospel of Christ, just like physical circumcision is taking away all or part of the foreskin, but spiritual circumcision is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

<The Jew is not the one who has the outside; and circumcision is not that which is visible in the flesh.

But the Jew is the one who is inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, according to the spirit and not according to the letter. The praise of this Jew does not come from men, but from God (Romans 2: 28-29).

<For us it is faith that we expect, through the Spirit, the hope of justice.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value, but faith which is active through charity (Galatians 5.5 – 6).

As far as I am concerned, far from me the thought of glorifying myself with anything but the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified for me, as I am for the world!

For it is nothing but being circumcised or uncircumcised; what is something is to be a new creature (Galatians 6: 14-15).

<And it is in him that you were circumcised of a circumcision that the hand did not make, but of the circumcision of Christ, which consists in the stripping of the body of the flesh: 2.12 having been buried with him by you are also resurrected in him and with him, by faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.2.13You who died by your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he told you returned to life with him, giving thanks for all our offenses, 2.14 he effaced the act of which the ordinances condemned us and which subsisted against us, and he destroyed it by nailing it to the cross; stripped down the dominions and the authorities, and publicly betrayed them by triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2: 11-15)

Amen!

The requirement of Jesus Christ on his creatures

On behalf of your brother Octave, called to be a prisoner of Christ by the will of God, may grace and peace be given to you by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Introduction. IMG_6706_pp photo

– The will of man on earth has been permanently corrupted by sin since the creation of the world by our first parents Adam and Eve, seduced by Satan the Devil in the Garden of Eden.

To remedy this situation, Jesus Christ invites man to believe in him, that Jesus Christ can cut off or take away from man what is evil, so that man can develop what is good until he to sanctification because without sanctification nobody will see the Lord.

<Seek peace with all, and sanctification, without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

The new birth is an order of Jesus Christ in the old covenant.

<pour out upon you clean water, and you shall be cleansed; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and all your idols.36.26I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you; I will take the heart of stone out of your body, and I will give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit in you, and will cause you to follow my ordinances, and observe and practice my laws (Ezekiel 36: 25-27).

<I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit in you; I will take away the stony heart from their bodies, and I will give them a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 11:19).

<The LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, and you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. (Deuteronomy 30.6)

The order of Jesus Christ in the new covenant concerning the new birth.

– But there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, who came to him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher from God; for no man can do these miracles that you do, unless God is with him. Isaiah answered him, « Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born again, he can not see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said to him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he get into his mother’s womb and be born? Jesus answered, « Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. » (John 3: 1-5).

<If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are past; Behold, all things have become new. (2Corinthians 5:17)

<For it is nothing but being circumcised or uncircumcised; what is something is to be a new creature (Galatians 6:15).

<For we are his work, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God hath prepared in advance, that we may do them (Ephesians 2: 10).

<So we were buried with him by baptism in his death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too would walk in newness of life. For if we have become one and the same plant with him by conformity to his death, we will be one by conformity to his resurrection, knowing that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, so that we are no longer slaves of sin (Romans 6.4 – 6)

<Having been buried with him by baptism, you are also raised in him and with him, by faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead (Colossians 2:12).

<If therefore you are risen with Christ, look for things from above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God (Colossians 3: 1).

<But now we have been released from the law, being dead to this law under which we were kept, so that we serve in a new spirit, and not according to the letter that has aged (Romans 7: 7).

<And to put on the new man, created according to God in righteousness and holiness, which the truth produces (Ephesians 4:24).

<But the Jew is he who is inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, according to the spirit and not according to the letter. The praise of this Jew does not come from men, but from God (Romans 2:29).

<And it was in him that you were circumcised with a circumcision that the hand did not make, but with the circumcision of Christ, which consists in the stripping of the body of the flesh (Colossians 2:11).

<He saved us, not because of the works of righteousness that we would have done, but according to his mercy, by the baptism of regeneration and the renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3.5).

<Jesus answered, « Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God » (John 3.5).

Amen!

Faith in Christ

On behalf of your brother Octave, called to be a prisoner of Christ by the will of God, may grace and peace be given to you by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Introduction IMG_6706_pp photo

Faith is the condition and also the motivation of all beliefs.

Faith according to the Bible is an assurance, a firm hope, an absolute confidence, a sense of security of a person who confides in Christ.

– But faith is a firm assurance of the things we hope for, a demonstration of those we do not see (Hebrews 11: 1).

– So do not give up your insurance, which is attached a great remuneration.

For you need perseverance, that after doing the will of God, you will obtain what you are promised.

A little longer, a little time: the one who will come will come, and he will not delay.

And my righteous will live by faith; but if he withdraws, my soul does not take pleasure in him.

We are not of those who withdraw to be lost, but of those who have faith to save their souls (Hebrews 10.35.39).

Faith often leads the person to a behavior that confirms this belief by doing all kinds of good Works

– For we are his work, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God hath prepared in advance, that we may do them (Ephesians 2: 10).

– This is so with faith: if it does not have works, it is dead in itself (James 2:17).

– As the body without soul is dead, so faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

– Little children, let us not love in word and tongue, but in deeds and with truth (1 John 3:18).

Faith in Christ requires having knowledge of the word of Jesus Christ

– How, then, shall they call on him whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear about it, if there is no one who preaches (Romans 10.14).

– Thus faith comes from what we hear, and what we hear comes from the word of Christ (Romans 10.17).

– My people are destroyed because they lack knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you, and you will be stripped of my priesthood; Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children (Hosea 4.6).

Faith is a grace according to the Bible.

– For it is by grace that you are saved by the means of faith. And it does not come from you, it is the gift of God.

It is not by works, that no one may boast (Ephesians 2: 8-9).

– So also the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached this good news to Abraham beforehand: All nations shall be blessed in you.

so that those who believe are blessed with Abraham the believer (Galatians 3: 8-9).

– And that no one is justified before God by the law is evident, since it is said, The just shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11).

Faith according to the Bible, is believing

– What does she say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. Now, it is the word of faith, which we preach.

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and if you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is by believing in the heart that they come to righteousness, and it is by confessing with the mouth that salvation is attained, according to what Scripture says:

Whoever believes in him will not be confounded.

There is no difference, indeed, between the Jew and the Greek, since they all have the same Lord, who is rich for all who invoke him.

For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10: 8-13).

– It is by faith that we recognize that the world has been formed by the word of God, so that what we see has not been made of visible things (Hebrews 11: 3).

– Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God, and believe in me (John 14: 1).

– They said to him, What shall we do to do the works of God?

Jesus answered them, « The work of God is that you believe in him whom he has sent » (John 6: 28-29).

Faith is a belief according to the Bible.

He did not doubt, by incredulity, about the promise of God; but he was strengthened by faith, giving glory to God, and having the full conviction that what he promises he can also fulfill (Romans 4.20-21).

– Such makes a distinction between days; another considers them all equal. Let each one have in his mind a full conviction (Romans 14: 5).

– But whoever has doubts about what he eats is condemned because he does not act out of conviction. All that is not the product of a conviction is sin (Romans 14:23).

– If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all simply and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

But let him ask for it in faith, without doubting; for he who doubts is like the wave of the sea, stirred by the wind and pushed aside.

That such a man does not imagine that he will receive something from the Lord: he is an irresolute man, inconstant in all his ways (Jacque 1.5).

Faith according to the Bible is a power

– The apostles said to the Lord, Increase us faith.

And the Lord said: If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this sycamore: Uproot yourself, and plant yourself in the sea; and he would obey you (Luke 17: 5-6).

– For the rest, my brothers and sisters in Christ, be joyful, seeking perfection in faith in Jesus Christ.
Live in peace, in love and according to Jesus Christ.
Greet the saints and my readers.
May the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen!

Circumcision

On behalf of your brother Octave, called to be a prisoner of Christ by the will of God, may grace and peace be given to you by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Introduction. IMG_6706_pp photo

Circumcision was a sign of the covenant of Jesus Christ with his Jewish people before he was born as a man on the land of life, millions of men would be circumcised worldwide for aesthetic or hygienic reasons especially for medical reasons.

The new birth is the definition of circumcision according to the Old Covenant in the Bible.

– When all these things happen to you, the blessing and the curse that I put before you, if you take them to heart in the midst of all the nations where the LORD your God has driven you, if you come back to the LORD your God, and if you obey his voice with all your heart and with all your soul, you and your children, according to all that I command you today, then the LORD your God will bring back your captive and have compassion on you, he will gather you again from among all the peoples in whom the LORD your God has scattered you.

When you are exiled to the other end of heaven, the LORD your God will gather you from there, and that is where he will look for you.

The LORD your God will bring you back into the land that your fathers owned, and you will possess it; he will do you good, and make you more numerous than your fathers.

The LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, and you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

The LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies, on those who hate and persecute you.

And you, you will return to the Lord, you will obey his voice, and you will practice all these commandments that I prescribe today.

The LORD your God will fill you with good things by making all the work of your hands prosper, the fruit of your bowels, the fruit of your flocks, and the fruit of your ground; for the LORD will take pleasure in your happiness again, as he took pleasure in your fathers’, when you obey the voice of the LORD your God, keeping his commandments and his commandments written in this book of the law. when you return to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul (Deuteronomy 30: 1-10).

Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the definition of circumcision according to the new Covenant in the Bible.

– Take care that no one makes you a prey to you by philosophy and vain deception, based on the tradition of men, on the rudiments of the world, and not on Christ.

For in him dwells corporately all the fullness of the divinity.

You have everything fully in him, who is the head of all domination and authority.

And it is in him that you have been circumcised from a circumcision that the hand has not made, but from the circumcision of Christ, which consists in the stripping of the body of the flesh: having been buried with him by baptism you are also resurrected in him and with him, by faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

You who were dead by your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he restored you to life with him, giving thanks for all our offenses; he has effaced the act of which the ordinances condemned us and which subsisted against us, and he destroyed it by nailing it to the cross; he stripped down the dominions and the authorities, and publicly gave them a show, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2: 8-15).

For we are his work, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared in advance, that we may do them.

Wherefore, ye formerly pagans in the flesh, called uncircumcised by those who are called circumcised and who are in the flesh by the hand of man, remember that you were at that time without Christ, deprived of the right of citizenship in Israel, strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.

But now, in Jesus Christ, you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, he who made both of them one, and who overthrew the wall of separation, enmity, having destroyed by his flesh the law of the ordinances in his prescriptions, in order to create in him – even with the two one new man, establishing peace, and reconciling them, one and the other in one body, with God by the cross, destroying enmity with it.

He came to proclaim peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through him we both have access to the Father in one Spirit.

So, then, you are no longer strangers, or outsiders; but you are fellow citizens of the saints, people of the house of God.

You were built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the cornerstone.

In him all the edifice, well coordinated, rises to be a holy temple in the Lord.

In him you are also edified to be a dwelling of God in the Spirit (Ephesians 2: 10-22).

– If therefore you are risen with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

Affect the things above, not the things on the earth.

Because you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

When Christ, your life, will appear, then you will also appear with him in glory.

So put to death the members who are on the earth, fornication, impurity, passions, bad desires, and greed, which is idolatry.

It is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of rebellion, among whom you once walked, when you lived in those sins.

But now, give up all these things, anger, animosity, malice, slander, dishonest words that could come out of your mouth.

Do not lie to one another, being stripped of the old man and his works, and having put on the new man, who renews himself in knowledge, according to the image of him who created him.

There is neither Greek nor Jew, neither circumcised nor uncircumcised, nor barbarian nor Scythian, nor slave nor free; but Christ is everything and in all.

So, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on your guts of mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, patience.

Do you support one another, and, if one has cause to complain of the other, forgive each other. As Christ forgave you, forgive you too.

But above all these things, put on charity, which is the link of perfection.

And may the peace of Christ, to which you have been called to form one body, reign in your hearts. And be grateful.

May the word of Christ dwell among you abundantly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, by psalms, by hymns, by spiritual songs, singing to God in your hearts under the inspiration of grace.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him (Colossians 3: 17-17).

Amen!

The Passover

Introduction

The people of Jesus Christ, his inheritance, his turtledove, his wife, his betrothed, are caught by the devil who represented ancient Egypt, subjected to forced labor and misery, so one day according to the plan of Jesus Christ, whom he had already revealed to Abraham, Jesus Christ decided to deliver his people.

Passover according to the Old Testament is the deliverance.

<I have come down to deliver him out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring him up from this land into a good and vast land, into a land flowing with milk and honey, into the places where the Canaanites dwell, the Hittites. the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Behold, the cries of Israel have come to me, and I have seen the oppression that the Egyptians cause them to suffer (Exous 3.8 – 9).

<When you have entered into the land which the LORD will give you, according to his promise, you will observe this sacred use. And when your children will say to you: What does this use mean to you? And ye shall say, This is the sacrifice of the passover in the honor of the LORD, which passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote Egypt, and saved our houses. The people bowed and bowed down (Exodus 12: 25-27).

It is a sacrifice of frankness.

<And God spake unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD.

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as Almighty God; but I was not known to them in my name, the LORD.

I also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimages, in which they stayed.

I heard the groans of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians hold in bondage, and I remembered my covenant.

Therefore say unto the children of Israel, I am Jehovah; I will deliver you from the works which the Egyptians charge you, and I will deliver you from their bondage, and I will save you with extended arm and great judgments.

I will take you for my people, and I will be your God, and you will know that it is I, the LORD your God, who have set you free from the works with which the Egyptians charge you.

I will bring you into the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; I will give it to you in the possession of me, the LORD (Exodus 6.2 – 8).

Passover according to the New Testament is Jesus Christ.

<You are wrong to glory. Do not you know that a little leaven raises all the dough?

Make the old leaven disappear, so that you are a new dough, since

you are unleavened, because Christ, our Passover, was slain.

Let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, not with leaven of mischief

and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of purity and truth (1 Corinthians 5: 7-8).

<The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and he said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world (John 1.29)

So let no one judge you about eating or drinking, or about a feast, a new moon, or sabbaths:

it was the shadow of things to come, but the body is in Christ (Colossians 2: 16-17).

It is Jesus Christ who freed himself

Jesus said to them, « When you have raised the Son of man, then you will know what I am, and do not do anything about myself, but speak according to what the Father has taught me.

He who sent me is with me; he did not leave me alone, because I always do what is pleasing to him.

As Jesus spoke thus, many believed in him.

And he said to the Jews who believed in him, If ye abide in my word, ye are really my disciples;

you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free (John 8: 28-32).

It is Jesus Christ who liberates and delivers.

If therefore the Son enfranchises you, you will be truly free (John 8.32).
